My Story

I became an advocate and parent consultant after supporting my sister with disabilities and raising a child with complex needs. Now, I help families feel confident, heard, and equipped to get the support their child deserves.

"My goal is simple: to help your family thrive, not just survive."

My Background

I'm Siobhan Fagan, a family advocate, parent consultant, and foster parent with deep roots in supporting children, teens, and caregivers. I spent over 5 years working in and alongside schools across eastern and central Massachusetts. My background also includes years in education technology and software integration project management, where I contributed to client-centered initiatives designed to improve outcomes for learners. Throughout this time, I volunteered for over 15 years with a youth leadership organization, working primarily with youth from first-generation and immigrant families. My focus was on fostering executive functioning skills, leadership, and healthy activities of daily living (ADLs) through structured routines, goal-setting, and mentoring—skills that many youth carried into school, work, and home life.

Today, I bring that same strategic, compassionate approach to the individual families I serve—helping parents understand their child’s needs, partner with schools and providers, and rebuild connection at home. I specialize in supporting families with children who experience ADHD, autism (Levels 1 and 2), ARFID, mental health diagnoses particularly bipolar disorder, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and reactive attachment disorder, and specific learning disabilities—especially when combined with other diagnoses. I also have experience with Down syndrome, cortical visual impairment (CVI), and autism Level 3. I'm always open to learning and expanding my knowledge base to support families more effectively.

My role is to help parents build confidence, better understand their options, and prepare for conversations with schools, providers, and systems. While I don’t offer legal advice or representation, I work with families to clarify concerns, identify questions to bring to their teams, and support them in advocating effectively. At the heart of my work is a deep belief in empowering caregivers with tools, perspective, and encouragement as they champion their children’s needs. My goal is always to work myself out of a job by equipping families with the tools, language, and confidence they need to move forward independently.

We walk alongside families to restore connection, strengthen voice, and build lasting confidence in parenting and the social systems they’re in.

Hope, Growth, and Advocacy

🌿 My Approach

At the heart of my work is a deep belief in family voice, dignity, and long-term empowerment.

When we begin working together, I don’t jump to quick fixes or surface-level strategies. Instead, I take time to understand your story—what brought you here, what’s been hard, and what you want most for your child and your family. Together, we’ll identify your needs, your priorities, and your family’s functional strengths—the building blocks we’ll use to move forward.

My consultation and advocacy approach is rooted in the idea that you are the expert on your child, and that my role is to guide, teach, and support—not to create dependence. I don’t want to become a permanent fixture in your life. My goal is to give you tools, insight, and confidence so that you feel ready to take the lead—whether that’s in a school meeting, a hard parenting moment, or navigating mental health services.

I believe that child and teen behavior is communication, and that most difficult behavior reflects a need, a lagging skill, or a broken connection—not a moral failing. It’s not easy to rebuild trust when things have fallen apart, but trust between parents and kids is foundational, and I’ll work with you to repair and strengthen that connection. I believe every family member deserves a voice—and we’ll work together to increase functional communication and relational skills so that your home feels more collaborative and calm.

When it comes to IEPs and school advocacy, I bring both warmth and clarity to the table. I believe in working collaboratively with schools whenever possible, and I aim to build partnerships that serve the child well. I can also help you prepare for moments when collaboration feels strained. I’ll walk you through how to read IEPs, understand your rights under IDEA and state special education regulations, and ask informed questions—so that you can speak confidently and advocate effectively on behalf of your child.

At the end of the day, I measure success not by how long we work together, but by how confident you feel walking forward without me.
